Yoga Teacher, Yoga for Seniors/Chair Yoga, Yoga for Beginners

Patty Osborn

Patty is a RYT-200 trained at John’s Creek Yoga. She was raised on the plains of South Dakota: Simple lines and endless sky and stars. She became a Graphic Artist. She received a BA in Visual Communications from the University of Minnesota and an MFA from CalArts in Visual Arts and Communications. Within the creative process, yoga was always interwoven, to help with creativity, clarity, focusing, anxiety, problem solving, testing the limits, and finding the edge. Throughout her graduate studies, she practiced with an Iyengar trained dance student/yoga instructor from India. Patty has practiced yoga for many years and has become passionate about its benefits. It has helped her in so many ways: connecting the mind and the body, being present in the here and now, not worrying about the “what ifs”, the anxieties that can take over so easily, learning to breathe, not hyperventilate. Patty is an avid cyclist and finds yoga is the Yin to cycling's Yang. She is grateful for so many things her in her life, yoga being one! Patty wants to give back to others, so they too can benefit from having yoga in their lives. Patty is married to her high school love, has two lovely grown boys, who were raised in the sunshine and sandy beaches of San Diego, CA. She and her husband relocated to Georgia in 2012.

Yoga Teacher

Sara Bryan

Sara started her yoga journey as a source of physical and mental “therapy,” but she soon saw her practice as something much more.  As a former athlete, the importance of “healthy mind and body” became all too real after a life changing diagnosis. She quickly found the healing powers of yoga and its community was something she longed for even before her diagnosis. Now, there’s not a day that goes by without her getting on her mat.

Sara hails from Louisiana, and brings a joyful yet soulful style, “joie de vie,” in both her teaching and way of life. Her compassionate nature facilitates a welcoming environment that allows her students to comfortably learn about their own bodies and minds, from physical strength to mental calmness. She believes that yoga is much more the just the poses; it’s about learning from your past, strengthening your present and building your future. Most importantly, it's about you, ALL of you, from "soul to sole”!

Sara completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Grey Owl in 2020 and is certified with Yoga Alliance.

Yoga Teacher

Susan Arant

Susan grew up in northeast Ohio, and while she has lived in many parts of the country, Cleveland will always be home. She has been a development officer for the American Cancer Society as well as institutions of higher education.

Susan practiced yoga on and off for 10 years. After experiencing several devasting losses in a short period of time, she turned to her yoga practice to help her deal with her grief and to heal. Yin yoga became her “go to” as it allowed her to go inward and focus. After experiencing for herself the healing power of yoga, Susan wanted to share it with others. She received her 200-hour teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center, and she is currently working toward her 300-hour.

In addition to yoga, Susan loves cooking healthy (and sometimes not so healthy) foods, traveling, reading and working in her yard. She has two daughters, one in the Netherlands and the other in Seattle. She is looking forward to her husband’s retirement so they can spend more time together.

Yoga Teacher

Susan Porteous

An active runner, Susan thought yoga would help overcome a tight hamstring.  Running at Bunten Park, she was drawn to the colorful chalk writings on the asphalt trail to sign up for Chattahoochee Yoga classes at the park activity building! It was as if the trail had read her mind!  That was the summer of 2016. Since that first class, her yoga practice has helped her improve physically as well as spiritually.

After retiring from her accounting career in April 2019, she decided to start the second chapter of her life by learning to share yoga with others.  Susan was a member of the Fall 2019 CYP 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training, earning her certificate in March 2020.  Her goal in teaching yoga is to focus on increasing mobility, building strength, and enhancing the mind-body connection.

Susan and her hubby, Bob, enjoy DIY home projects, cooking, baking bread, reading, gardening, and taking care of their four-legged family – Petey, Oscar, Toby, Miss Gray and Mooch.

Yoga Teacher

Taylor Foster

Taylor first started practicing yoga in college from her living room (Thanks to youtube). She came to find yoga during the time in her life when she felt she would forever be a victim of her anxiety + depression. Taylor quickly realized how much yoga had changed her life + freed her from a depressive state. Taylor graduated with a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate from Performance Power Yoga in November of 2019. She enjoys showing how much fun you can have with your practice, how mediation is married to your practice, and how everyone is a yoga person. She hopes to continue her Yoga education in 2021!
