Baby-Friendly Yoga & Pilates Fusion 4 Week Series
Core Strength for New Moms
Begin the process of redeveloping your core strength after pregnancy in our baby-friendly Yoga-Pilates fusion class. Utilizing Pilates mat exercises, we will start to restrengthen your abdominal muscles and retrain our core to engage effectively. We will use yoga to target the areas that tend to get tight after pregnancy- hips, shoulders and lower back. This series includes 4 baby friendly group classes.
Believe us, we know what being a new mom is like: CHAOS. But we also know that no matter how messy life gets after baby comes, its important to take time for yourself. Its also important for your future wellness to work to carefully restrengthen your core after pregnancy. Because of the huge changes your body goes through over the course of each pregnancy, your body can feel out of balance for a long time after birth.
Our 4 week series is baby-friendly (but not required) class where you can get in a little exercise and stretching (targeted to the areas postnatal moms need it most), meet other local new moms, and just enjoy the wildness of your new life. Even if your baby is a little older, you are welcome to join.
We fully expect breaks to feed, change, soothe, chase, etc., and you are welcome to bring any toys, chairs, blankets, tablets, etc., that you may need for your little (or not so little one). Most of the exercises will be done seated or laying down, so wearing your baby might be a little uncomfortable, so strollers and car seats are welcome. Or your little ones can roam, we are used to it (see photo below). Classes are a short 45 minutes, with time to chat/socialize before and after.
