2018 SUMMER KIDS YOGA
We are excited for this summer to start! We have planned two different camps for kids ages 6 to 11 that will guide them on a journey We hope that you choose to spend part of your summer with us learning cool yoga poses, practicing breathing techniques, and enjoying fun games, activities and journaling!
Grounded in the Elements
June 18 to 22, 2018
Explore the elements: Space, Earth, Water, Fire and Air, diving into each one to discover how each of us has all of those elements in our nature, and how we can use yoga to learn more about our nature and to find balance.
Our first camp is based on the teaching methodology created by Grounded Kids Yoga. You can learn more at www.gogrounded.com. Our teacher, Dana Rogers, is a Yoga Alliance Certified Kids Yoga teacher, holding a RKYT:100 HR certificate.
Yoga in all Dimensions
July 18 to 22, 2018
Spend the week exploring how we can use yoga to build solid foundations for our daily life, investigating how it can affect us both on a physical basis and in our hearts, minds and spirits! From there, we will explore how we can move into the world using the tools yoga teaches us.
Our second camp has been uniquely designed by our teacher, Dana Rogers, based on her experience leading several kids yoga programs at local schools, and teaching kids yoga classes.
Our intention is to make yoga accessible and fun for our local kids in Duluth, because we truly believe that yoga is as good for kids as it is for adults, and maybe even more important! Learning yoga at a young age can set you up to have lifelong tools to deal with stress, anxiety, and other tough stuff in addition to helping you develop a positive mind-body connection!
Camps are held at the studio from 1 to 3 PM. Kids will enjoy a combination of yoga, breathing and mindfulness practice, crafts, games, and journaling, all designed to help them discover more about themselves, plus they will get their own yoga mat!
